The fresher welcome ceremonies for Second Year students who got admission in all specializations in 2023- 2024 Academic Year were held at Multipurpose Hall in the University of Cooperative and Management, Thanlyin. Departments of all majors; Accounting and Finance, Marketing Management, Applied Statistics, Regional Development and Social Enterprise Management held the fresher welcome ceremonies respectively from 10th July to 14th July 2023.

Rector, Dr. Yi Yi Win attended each ceremony and addressed the welcoming speech. On the occasions, Rector, Dr. Yi Yi Win addressed that the same specialization students are needed to unite each other and with the other specializations as well, to build a strong alumni network and to actively participate in university’s Team-Based activities. Then, Rector and Pro-Rectors awarded the academic excellent awards to those outstanding students of each academic year.

As per specialized majors, Rector offered sash, locusts and presents to Major Queens, Pro-Rector (Admin) offered sash and souvenirs to Major King and the previous year’s queen passed the crown to this year’s queen respectively. After that, the memorable group photos were taken with the students from all specialization majors. In the afternoon, the entertainment programs were held again and Rector, Pro-Rectors, Professors and associate professors (Head), teachers from respective major subjects and students attended the occasion and viewed together.
