2023 Monsoon Tree-Growing Ceremony was held at Multipurpose Hall at 8:00 a.m on 21st July 2023 in UCMT. Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win addressed the opening speech in that ceremony and Pro-Rectors (Admin and Academic), Heads from (14) departments of Academic and Administration, teachers and staffs (gazette and non-gazettted officers), U Thet Naing, Staff Officer and members from Forest Department, Thanlyin and students from UCMT, altogether 200 participants attended the ceremony.

On that ceremony, Rector, Pro-Rectors (Admin and Academic), Heads from (14) departments of Academic and Administration, teachers, staff and students planted (120) saplings including Golden Bell (Tabebuia aurea) and Green Ebony at the front right side of the Multipurpose Hall and at the surroundings of the ongoing Social Innovation Support Unit (SISU). The students who grew the trees were treated steamed rice with peas and cold drink and the ceremony ended at 9:30 a.m.
