The 16th Blood Donation Ceremony was held at Multipurpose Hall on 28th July 2023 at 10:00 a.m in UCMT. It was organized by the branch of University Red Cross Association aiming for Live-saving contributions with noble and kind-hearted spirit and to support the society.

At that ceremony, Patron of the branch of University Red Cross Association, UCMT, Rector Dr.Yi Yi Win, Pro-Rectors, Professors (Head) from teaching and academic departments, teachers, staff and students attended the ceremony and Deputy Director- General Dr. Thida Aung, doctors and nurses and medical team from National Blood Centre, Yangon General Hospital accepted the blood bottles. A total of (210) blood donors of teachers, students and staff donated (115) blood bottles at that ceremony. The branch of Red Cross Association, UCMT organized the blood donation event since 2005 and a number of (1699) blood bottles have been donated so far.
