To honor the Myanmar Women’s Day which falls on July 3, 2024, a tree planting ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Hall in University of Cooperative and Management, (Thanlyin) at 9:30 a.m on 1st July 2024. The ceremony was attended by the Rector, Pro-Rector (Admin), Pro-Rector (Academic), Heads of Departments from (14) Academic and Administrative Departments and approximately (400) members including teachers, staff and students.

At the ceremony, Rector, Dr.Yi Yi Win delivered an opening speech, stating that the tree planting event was held honouring Myanmar Women’s Day which falls on 3rd July 2024. The purpose of the planting trees is to create a green and lash environment and to gain eternal merit. The trees planting will grow and provide shelter for others and thus earning eternal merit. Everyone should collectively take care of the planted trees to ensure their growth. She also explained the ten benefits of trees planting to get general knowledge.

At the trees planting ceremony, the Rector, Pro-Rector (Admin), Pro-Rector (Academic), Heads of Departments from (14) teaching and administrative departments, teachers, staff and students planted a total of (435) Saplings including (135) Starflower Trees, (100) Royal Poinciana (yellow), (100) Mahogany Trees and (100) Pyinma Trees in front of the Multipurpose Hall on the left side and beside the Social Innovation Support Unit (SISU). The teachers, staff and students who participated in the trees planting ceremony were served with snacks and coffee and the ceremony was concluded at 10 a.m.
