Annual General Meeting (2023-2024) Fiscal Year of GEC (Education) Cooperative Society Limited and Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited was held at 10:00 a.m at the Multipurpose Hall, UCMT. At the event, Rector Dr.Yi Yi Win, the Chairperson of GEC (Education) Cooperative Society Limited, presided over the meeting and delivered the opening speech. She mentioned that GEC (Education) Cooperative Society Limited was established on January 31, 1995 and has now been in existence for over 29 years. The society has been working to improve the welfare of its members by opening the UCMT COOP MART and expanding in increased profits. She urged the members to collaborate with the board of directors to successfully implement the society’s activities. Professor Dr.Aye Theint Theint Htwe, the Vice-Chairperson of the Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited, also presided over the meeting and delivered the opening speech. She explained the society’s laws, regulations, directives, activities, and presented the executive committee’s report and financial statements for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, which were approved by the members. Additionally, it was reported that the GEC (Education) Cooperative Limited has 142 members and the Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited has 213 members, and financial support was provided to the members of both societies.
